Our Career Coaching and Resume Expert
As a four-year-old growing up in the Providence area, Karen fondly recalls writing small stories with words her Mom gave her, and illustrating them in crayon. Once she went to school, the writing bug bit – she began winning contests throughout Rhode Island, and loved fine-tuning each paragraph line by line to achieve the perfect meaning.
By high school, family and friends always asked for Karen’s help with all kinds of writing, including resumes. While she attended college and grew her own career, she wrote resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn profiles on the side for those looking for jobs in business, information technology, healthcare, and finance. Working her way up in the business world, Karen became an expert in a variety of industries and professions. By the time she was promoted to VP at a prominent bank, she was working alongside executives around the world.
With a desire to make a difference, Karen wanted to transform people’s lives for the better in her unique way. In 2013, Spring Forward Resumes was born, and we’ve been going strong ever since.
Karen holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Project Management and is a trained career coach. She is one of only a handful of Career Directors International Certified Resume Specialists in IT (CRS+IT), and is also a Certified Professional Resume Writer (CPRW). CPRWs represent the very best in their field – which means you get the very best, too.
